The real truth about our cremation business is that we operate on low overhead and low margins.  Obviously, we are in business to make a profit but that is the last thing we think about when taking care of your family's best friend.  Our main focus is to take care of your family during this time of loss. This is also why we are transparent with our pricing.

Now...here are the facts.  Veterinary clinics have huge overhead including real estate, equipment and staffing.  All of which is not cheap.  Cremation services for your vet is a huge profit source.

Next...There are only a few pet crematories in Northern Illinois and your vet uses one of these crematories.  We do not know of any Veterinary clinic except Dundee Animal Hospital that has their own cremation machines.  We happen to partner with Pet's at Peace located in Hampshire, Illinois.

Why does it take 7-10 business days to get my pet's ashes back?  We are often asked this question.  This all goes back to the fact that there only a few pet crematories taking care of hundreds of veterinary clinics and hundred and hundreds of pets that pass away on a weekly basis.  Some crematories will offer expedited service but the price will increase dramatically.
